Jaishree Naidoo

Jaishree pioneered the paediatric radiology sub-speciality after becoming the first South African qualified paediatric radiologist at the Red Cross War Memorial Hospital in 2010.
In her previous roles, she was head of paediatric radiology at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg academic hospital and thereafter at Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital where she commissioned the department, set up governance systems, policies and protocols and successfully led the radiology team as the first department that opened the hospital in June 2017.
As a visionary and leader in her field, Jaishree knows that developments in technology are transforming the role that radiologists will play in a health system and that future radiologists need to embrace this innovation.
Her special area of interest in pattern recognition and deep learning in radiology is driven by her passion for her sub speciality and the need to positively influence the lives of children by offering sustainable healthcare solutions in Africa.
